Tollywood is a place where we usually see personal grudges, egos and jealousies among the artists. There are communication gaps and rivalries, which are frequently seen, among the artists and technicians. One hero, however, appears to be separated from above group of people and he is none other than Megastar chiranjeevi. chiranjeevi has friendly terms with the heroes of all the generations such as late NTR, late ANR, Krishna, Krishnam Raju, late Sobhan Babu, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu and many more artists. chiranjeevi is annayya not only for Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu but also for Raviteja, Srikanth, Sunil, VV Vinayak, Krishna Vamsi, Prabhudeva, Lawrence and others, as they call chiranjeevi as 'Annayya'.

In contrast to chiranjeevi's attitude, there are some artists and technicians who suffer with ego feelings and exhibit strange behavior. A senior most talkative director had not talked with ANR over a decade due to ego clashes. A senior hero and studio owner maintains separate coterie. A villain turned hero feels he is the superior with his dominating and commanding voice. A senior star of chiranjeevi's generation, has no good talking terms with Nagarjuna.As if he were a super duper mass star, a faded out hero expressed his wish of doing a multi-starrer with chiranjeevi. Of course, nothing wrong in wishing like that but his intention is different revealing it. Anyways, let's hope, tollywood bigwigs, give up their egos and join hands for the development of Telugu cinema on par with the international standards.

Chiranjeevi confirms 150th film

Actor-politician Chiranjeevi has announced plans to start working on his 150th film this year. He also said he’s currently listening to various scripts.
Chiranjeevi confirmed the same on Thursday on the hit show, Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu. He was invited as a special guest on the last episode of the show’s first season.

 

“I will start working on my 150th film this year. If the audience still wants to see me on the silver screen, I would be more than happy to act. I’m currently listening to scripts,” Chiranjeevi said on the show.

Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna shared a great camaraderie.

Nagarjuna, who has been hosting the show, ended it with a heavy heart, but promised to return with season two soon.

Geethanjali (2014) Review - Story

A meek tale, the story begins with a Sri Sai Residency, being empty from past three months and a ghost Geethanjali (Anjali) needs help as she wants to take revenge on the person responsible for her certain death. In the backdrop of this, an aspiring director Srinivas (Srinivas Raju) steps in the same apartment with his friend Vishu (Madhu). What follows is a burst of activities replete with spoofs, songs and puns. Although, beneath all these lies a satirical message about the luxuria and society. Due to certain circumstances, Srinivas meets up with Ramesh Rao (film buff) head of Easy Solutions for narrating a script. But things take a solid turn around when he tells the true inspiration behind his script. Ramesh accepts the offer, and asks Srinivas to travel with the issue in his life to conclude the screenplay of his film. Whether it is just cooked up story or there is something to it forms rest of the storyline.

Story:-
Karthik(Aadi) and Swetha(Erika Fernandez) are a happily married working couple. They even win the best couple award in their office and to celebrate this occasion, they plan a special party. But sadly, the party ends up in a big mess as the couple get drunk and end up into a huge fight.
During the course of the fight, they reveal about their past lovers Parineethi (Kristina Akheeva) and Aarav Reddy(Rahul). Things take an ugly turn, and both of them jointly decide to take a divorce. Rest of the story is as to whether they successfully get separated, and meet their respective lovers.

Alludu Seenu Telugu Movie Review: Alludu Seenu, a mass entertaining comedy drama Tollywood movie is directed by topmost hit maker of South Indian cinema V. V. Peppy number of Tamannaah works as spice and performance of lead actress Samantha adds a glam quotient to the movie. The music has already created huge buzz with some top chartbusters. The family entertainer movie goes well with all age group of cinegoers. The plot is good and dialogue delivery is top-notch. Last, but not least Brahmanandam comedy will surely tickle your funny bone.

Review: Move over chick flicks for guy flicks have arrived and it's only fair that rom-coms are now being made about boys looking for 'Miss Right'. With his sharp wit and refreshing nonchalance, Virr Das in the titular role brings out the irony of the situation effortlessly. He makes a list of qualities that his lady love must possess. In a hilarious opening scene, he even dumps a girl for not liking Sachin Tendulkar. And since 'opposites attract', he falls for a free-spirited Mala (Vega Tamotia). But Cupid plays a cruel game when Devika (Anindita Nayar), the girl of Amit's dreams (read list), comes into his life soon after.

Wait, I thought I’d walked into a horror film, having lowered my expectations anyway. Horror, like pure comedy, whether good or bad, has an uncomplicated relationship with its audience. You go in for the laughs in the latter, and to feel frightended at least for a few seconds, every now and then, in the former. Story is secondary. Sometimes bad horror movies make you laugh, but that’s part of the fun.
This picture starts off quite slickly, with top-rate graphic storytelling for opening credits. The background score, at least for its sound design, is of high quality. The sets look well done. And there is 3D for bonus effect.
But you know what, none of this is supposed to matter. All you need to scare the pants off the audience is to make them believe that what’s happening to the characters on screen could be happening to them. God knows, movies shot like home videos have achieved that phenomenally well: The Blair Witch Project or Paranormal Actvity are only two best known (relatively) recent examples. Closer home, Ram Gopal Varma’s Bhoot and his production Vaastushastra, with their setting and situations, could rock your seat.
Given how distant you feel from the two loser type main characters in this movie, and the few scenes when ghosts appear are inserted so callously into the picture, you wonder if the filmmakers were even attempting to scare you at all. There is not a moment of effective horror. There is absolutely no humour. What’s the point then?

Movie review: ‘Hate Story 2′ is a Hot Story

Hate Story 2 has a sense of affection like many of those epic revenge sagas made in our Indian cinema. The problem is that after setting an apt plot, it doesn’t do much justice to it.

In a scene the female protagonist Surveen Chawla out of angst over her lover’s (Jay Banushali) murder, assaults one of the killers physically by tying him on a chair. The scene stirs angst against the killer after you know that innocent Jay was slayed mercilessly, but despite that you are not able to connect with the scene and it departs giving you an empty feeling.

Debutant director Vishal Pandya picks a vindictive idea and attempts to make it as gruesome as he can. After exotic romance and dreadful assassination in the first half, the flick follows vengeful killing of the murderers in the second half.

'GAV's Audio Launch Date!

One of the most anticipated movies of this year, 'Govindhudu Andarivaadele' has got more than 50% of its shoot completed. The makers are planning to unveil the first teaser of the movie on 27th of this month, on the eve of Krishnavamsi's birthday. It is also heard that the audio launch of the movie has been scheduled two days prior to Megastar Chiranjeevi's birthday. As Chiranjeevi's birthday falls on 22nd of August, the audio launch of 'GAV' is likely to be held on 20th of the same month. We have to wait for an official confirmation of audio launch date from the makers. Bandla Ganesh, who is producing the movie, has expressed his delight the way the movie is canned. Kajal Aggarwal romances with ram charan. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music of the movie. Sameer Reddy is doing cinematography.

Producer Bellamkonda Srinivas' younger son, Sai Srinivas' debut movie 'alludu seenu' is getting huge pre release business offers from various areas. It is due to VV Vinayak and other reputed cast and crew, the movie has got this hype among the trade circles. However, the makers have planned to go for own release through their regular distributors.  Samantha has paired up with Sai Srinivas in this romantic and action entertainer. With each passing day, we are hearing various gossips on Rajamouli's 'baahubali'. The story of one of the sequences of the movie is said to have been leaked on net. According to this, Ramyakrishna is doing 'Rajamatha's role and she is seen as Sivudu's( Prabhas) mother. During the childhood of Sivudu, their kingdom is invaded and occupied by rivals. Ramyakrishna escapes from the kingdom taking her child in arms. During her journey, she faces many difficulties. She has to cross rivers and waterfalls. Finally, the mother and the child get survived. When he is grown up, Sivudu takes revenge on his rivals and which forms the story of 'baahubali 2'.  Apart from Prabhas, Rana, Anushka and Tamannah are doing the lead roles of 'baahubali'. Keeravani scores the music of the movie. Prasad Devineni and Sobhu Yarlagadda are producing the movie on Arka Media Works. The movie is gearing up for release during summer, 2015.

Analysis:
Drushyam is the Telugu remake of Jeethu Joseph’s 2013 movie Drishyam. Original created history at box office with its terrific script and with natural thrills, but same cannot be said about the Telugu remake. Director & Producer have succeeded in staying true to original, but they haven’t taken any extra effort on the script & nativity changes. If you are remaking a movie some changes are necessary to keep in our audience engaged to the screenplay, but Drishyam has no such fresh changes as a result those who have watched the original will be frustrated with the final outcome of the remake. Not in a single scene she steer away from the original. But when you compare the two, this movie fails to move you emotionally like the original did. This film only appeals to those who haven’t watched Drishyam (Malayalam) and for the rest it will be decent thriller to watch out.

Telugu movie Drushyam, a remake of Superstar Mohanlal's Blockbuster Malayalam movie Drishyam, has been creating ripples in the media ever since producer Suresh Babu announced it. This film is slated to release in theatres on July 11. The makers held a special screening of the movie on July 9. It has come out really well on screen. Victory Venkatesh, who is known for his family entertainers, is sure to rock the viewers again. Venkatesh's sterling performance is the main highlight in the film. The engrossing screenplay, Sharreth's soothing music and amazing background score, S Gopal Reddy's cinematography, a few comedy and sentimental scenes and beautiful locales are other attractions of the film. The slow-paced narration in first half and some forced romantic scenes are its big drawbacks. ADVERTISEMENT Sripriya Rajkumar has taken the original story from the Malayalam movie, but she has made a few changes to suit the taste of Telugu viewers. Especially, she has added a little extra romance, which appears like it has been unnecessarily forced in the film. Otherwise, everything is fine in the film. She has been successful in maintaining the suspense element throughout the movie. She has very good grip on the narration of the film. Drushyam is high on emotional quotient. The film starts off with slow-paced narration, which drags for almost 30 minutes in the first half. The movie gains a momentum with a twist at the interval. The second half of the film is simply superb and the suspense element makes you sit on the edge of the seat and watch the movie biting your nails. The climax is also good and it makes the viewers to walk out of the cinema hall with a contented heart. Rambabu (Venkatesh) is a married man from the middle class. He is the provider of cable network connection in a small village near Vijayanagaram. His happy family life is tormented, when Varun, son of Geetha (Nadhiya), who is the Inspector General of Police, disappears after he harasses Rambabu's daughter. Geetha feels suspicious about Rambabu's family and she uses her power to harass them. What happened to Varun? How does Rambabu struggle to save his family? Answer to these questions will form the crux of the story. Venkatesh has a tailor-made role in Drushyam and he has delivered a brilliant performance in it. He is the showman in the film. As his wife, Meena has also done a good job and her chemistry with Venky is a good to watch on screen. Nadhiya, Naresh, Ravi Kale, Chalapathi Rao, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Chaitanya Krishna, Benerjee, Sameer, Roshan Basheer and others have also done justice to their roles and their performances are good assests of the film. Drushyam has decent production values and Sharreth's soundtracks and amazing background score are the main attractions in the technical front. S Gopal Reddy's camera work is another highlight of the film. Marthand K Venkatesh's editing is good. Other technical departments have also delivered a commendable job.
