ADDA MOVIE REVIEW,ADDA MOVIE STORY

New directors come with lot of fire and passion. They can create wonders if they put their talent and passion in a proper way. Many young directors have proved that in Telugu film industry earlier. In fact, of late it’s debut directors who have been setting trend in Tollywood now. Riding on this wave, a new director Karthik Reddy is debuting with Adda movie. Karthik Reddy has proved that he has ample talent and passion in film making. But the only problem is, like many first time directors who try to exhibit all their talent in first film itself, Karthik Reddy has included too many things in his first film itself. Karthik has come up with good story. But let’s find out whether he could transfer it to big screen effectively.

Sushanth appears as an youngster who ekes out a living making Register office his Adda. He earns money by uniting and separating lovers coming to the Register office. On the other side Nagineedu is a powerful and respected man in that place. He has two daughters Suhasini and Saanvi. He decides to marry Suhasini with Dev Gill. But she does not like that as she loves Avasarala Srinivas. At this junction, Saanvi takes Sushanth’s help for separating Suhasini and Avasarala. In the process of spoiling her sister’s love affair Saanvi slowly falls in love. Only after falling in love does Saanvi realises the greatness of her sister’s love. Meanwhile Sushanth separates both Suhasini and Avasarala for money. But Saanvi gets hurt at this and goes away from Sushanth. Only after Saanvi getting distanced from him does Sushanth knows the value of love. How both of them unite and what’s the reason for separation of love birds has to be watched on screen.
Story appears fine while listening. For making a love flick in these days this much story is more than enough. Seems director has convinced Sushanth and producers with this story. But he could not convince audience with the same story. Because though story is adequate, narration and presentation are also very important in impressing audience and director’s inexperience has been evident. Though director could convincingly pull off the movie till interval, he could not sustain the same pace in the second half. It appears like we are watching one movie till interval and completely different movie after interval. Heroine loves hero, but rejects when hero reciprocates it. Didn’t director find more valid point to run movie after interval. Director has tried to create the rift between hero and heroine with out a strong reason.
Director has wasted many good actors. Kota has been restricted to a passable role. Nagineedu and Tanikella Bharaini are just there. Most of the time we come across hero build-up shots. The urge to establish Sushanth as hero is visible. But director has completely ignored to have scenes between hero and villain. He has forgotten the fact that heroism will be elevated only if he confronts villain strongly. There is only one instance of hero and villain confronting, that too in the pre-climax. Twists and flashback in the movie have been passable. Story would also have been narrated through straight narration.
Sushanth has improved over his previous films. He is much better when compared to his previous films. But that isn’t enough. He is still not at ease in certain portions and dialogue delivery needs to be improved. Saanvi has appeared pretty beautiful in some frames. Has opened up a bit in terms of glamour. Director himself has penned dialogues. There aren’t any memorable lines. Don’t know when Tollywood will come out of gay comedy. Gay comedy has been used to create laughter even in this flick.
Technically movie is fine. Anup has tried to create josh with his songs. Even picturistaion of songs is nice. But just technical values and music aren’t enough to make a movie impressive. Adda has been helpful in Sushanth gaining ten marks more than his previous films. Apart from that it has done nothing great.
