Irrespective of film’s outcome Srikanth is going on doing films. A new film Acharya in which he is playing the lead role has started today. Vamshi Krishna is directing this film. Gururaj is the producer. While director Dasharath switched on the camera, Sunil gave first clap for the movie. Top director V.V Vinayak directed the first shot. Explaining about the movie, Srikanth said that it’s a message oriented movie and will stand along side his movies like Mahatma, Khadgam, Operation Duryodhana among others.

The film has completed the first schedule recently in
Hyderabad. A.Gururaj says, " We have shot the key scenes in the first
schedule on the main cast. The next schedule will start from July 15th
and continues till the shoot ends".
The director says, " This will be a completely different in the career of Srikanth, who has completed over 100 movies as a hero. We are going to tell that " Love is injurious to youth" through this movie.
Subbaraju, Krishnudu, Thagubothu Ramesh, Raja Ravindra, Benerjee, Jogi Naidu etc are acting in the movie.
