Recently Paruchuri Gopalakrishna was sharing his thoughts when he
reportedly revealed how during the second world war cinema screenings
were slightly interrupted.
In countries like USA and Russia, no obstacles were created though. And if anyone obstructed the cinema they were put in jail. That is past history.
And currently the political agitations in our state is reminding of that, he added. Gopalakrishna reportedly stated “Any person who buys a cinema ticket is dear to film industry people. It has nothing to do with that person’s region or background. Now, since some big hero families are associated with politics this interruption has come.”
He reportedly added “Audience and politicians should treat cinema as cinema. They must not threaten artists and run their agitation. Any movement which is started has to be for democracy but for everything targeting the film industry is not at all correct. Already the industry is half dead and if this continues then how will the cinema workers and artists survive. Hence, there is a real need to bring some strict laws to ensure cinema screenings don’t get interrupted.”
Of course, he closed his session by stating that very soon peace will prevail in AP and cinema screenings will run normally.
